What do you do at BankCherokee?
I lead our Retail Banking team which entails forging strong relationships with our customers and helping them with all of their consumer banking needs including loans and deposit accounts. I believe that to be a good manager you need to be willing to be a coach and mentor to your team on an ongoing basis. My team consists of our Personal Bankers, Lenders, Call Center Reps, and Tellers.
Why do you enjoy working at BankCherokee?
BankCherokee is a family owned community bank, and it’s easy to see that the relationships that have been built between our customers and the employee’s often go back a long way. I really enjoy getting to know people and helping them with solutions that will make their lives easier while creating efficiencies for them. I’m also a strong believer in giving back to the communities that our branches are located in, and BankCherokee does a great job at that.
What is your favorite movie?
My favorite childhood movie was the Wizard of Oz, and I’ve watched it more times than I can count. When I was growing up, they used to show it on TV on an annual basis, and I never missed it. I’m sure my two sons would also tell you they’ve seen it more times than they care to count but I know they did it in an effort to indulge me.
What is your favorite activity outside of work?
Cooking is a passion of mine, and I like to regularly test new recipes on my husband. He would tell you that not all of them have been blue ribbon winners by any means, but many have made it to our top favorites list.
